Meet the Grounded Impact Team

With over three decades of experience, Fran is a veteran leader in community development and social impact. From her role in driving the community and Indigenous affairs strategy at BHP to her tenure as CEO at Glass Jar Australia, Fran has consistently demonstrated her ability to lead impactful initiatives that empower marginalised communities and promote social inclusion. Beyond these roles, she has undertaken various ministerial appointed positions on Governing Councils, Advisory Boards, funding panels, and community organisations showcasing her commitment to education and community capacity building. Fran’s commitment to inclusive strategic planning and governance standards has led to impactful collaborations and sustainable initiatives aimed at addressing educational inequalities and fostering economic empowerment. 

Fran has lived, loved, laughed, and worked on Kariyarra country, Port Hedland for 27 years.

Rose is an impact and evaluation specialist, bringing a robust academic background and extensive practical experience to Grounded Impact. With a PhD from the Australian National University, Rose possesses a deep understanding of research methodologies and data analysis techniques. Her expertise extends to designing policy, procedures, and advocacy strategies, all of which are rooted in indigenous methodologies that ground and prototype service delivery and strategy within community voice. What sets Rose apart is her ability to seamlessly connect overarching vision with the intricate details of operations, outcomes, and evaluation. Her approach is marked by a commitment to continuous improvement and innovation that is spurred by her boundless curiosity and relentless optimism. 

Rose is Kāi Tahu, Waitaha, Kāti Mamoe, and Pākehā from Aotearoa New Zealand. She has lived in Australia since 2011 on Ngunnawal, Ngambri, Inggarda, Southern Yamatji, Martu, Gundungurra, and Dharug country, and currently lives on Wadandi Boodja in the Southwest of Western Australia. Outside of Grounded Impact, Rose is a full-time mum and a part-time poet.
